The RG.RU portal reported great news today - within the framework of the “Victory Stars” project organized five years ago by the Rossiyskaya Gazeta jointly with the Russian Ministry of Defense, by May 9 this year, the portal and other authors sought out 24 more untouched state awards of the USSR that are now waiting the moment of solemn transfer to the families of war veterans
Among these awards are the Order of the Patriotic War of the XNUMXst degree and a certificate for it, a certificate for the Order of the Red Star, a certificate for the medal “For Courage”, eighteen certificates for medals “For the Defense of Stalingrad” and three certificates for medals “For the Defense of the Caucasus”.
As part of the project, certificates for medals “For the capture of Budapest”, “For the capture of Königsberg”, “For the liberation of Warsaw” and “For the liberation of Belgrade” were already handed over to the families of war veterans. Read more about this in article.
Also this year, thanks to a request from the portal to the Main Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a third medal was awarded to our fellow countryman Ayub Balov: “The division in which he bravely fought participated in the assault on Koenigsberg. Therefore, to two untwarded awards A.A. Balova added a third - the medal "For the capture of Konigsberg."
