The track list of poetic rock compositions includes 13 songs, some of which were written many years ago, and others quite recently. More about the project singer said in an interview.
- Dmitry, why is the album named after the song "When you are a river"? Does it contain the semantic message of the album?
- Exactly. This composition is me. I share my philosophy with the audience. We often say that you need to go with the flow, but I believe that if you just mindlessly surrender to it, you can swim away in the wrong direction ... But if you are this river yourself, you are a single organism, integral, then life's hardships cannot help you carry away, do not sink. The fewer cracks in you, the less any abomination gets into them.
All threats are scattered in different directions by your efforts, breaking about you like a stone.
- Among the new compositions present in the album, there is a song called "Munchausen". What inspired you to write such an unusual track?
- "Munchausen" is the only song that is very closely intertwined with the plot of the legendary film "The Same Munchausen" with Oleg Yankovsky in the title role. This is one of my favorite films, it has been living in me for a long time, there really are answers to all questions. It seems to me that Munchausen always lives in the soul of every romantic! Probably, it was these people who were pioneers in all endeavors on earth. Because if Munchausen lives in a person, then he achieves everything that was difficult to believe initially.
- Indeed! And this idea is perfectly reflected in the song. Is it true that the plot of the song "Lame Princess" was inspired by an incident from your life?
- Rather, not a plot, but the very idea came to me after one incident in the Elbrus region. We arrived at the festival, and even before it started, my friend injured her leg. In the evening, she had to host the event and, despite the injury, she held the festival in high-heeled shoes and only in the morning it turned out that she had a broken foot. For those not in the know, it hurts a lot. The girl's endurance amazed me, and the professionalism amazed me. The phrase "lame princess" was born that evening, and in consequence - and the whole song. There is an opposition to the "bad dancer" who is hindered by everything, and if you have gone out into the world, you must emit light! Anyway, that's how I live.
- Yes, each of your songs contains deep thoughts. But as for the format of these tracks, are there life-versions of several songs on the album?
- We have included three tracks recorded at the concert from the console, including "When you are a river." Edited and released in the studio. I think this format will also be interesting to listeners.
- What would you like to say to the fans on the day of the premiere?
- I hope that they will like the album and help them answer the age-old question "to be or to seem?"
