The artists met with the correspondent of the publishing house "Zvuk-M"
So the New Year holidays are over. There was a short pause between your concerts and work in the studio, and I propose to talk about how the year went, what are your plans for the future and, of course, how the holiday was celebrated.
- At the festive table, what words did you say to your family and to each other?
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: Of course, wishes of good health and words of gratitude for the outgoing year were voiced! In terms of creativity, he turned out to be simply amazingly fruitful and rich, and on a personal level, everything worked out quite well for us, everyone is alive and well.
Islam Malsuigenov: We thanked this year for keeping us old friends and for new ones who have appeared in our lives. It was a good, albeit difficult year, 2021, but we are grateful to him.
- Tell us what gifts did you give each other?
Islam Malsuigenov: We make gifts to each other throughout the year, we are not strictly tied to dates. But the child still believes and writes a letter to Santa Claus, which he puts under the Christmas tree, and in the morning, miraculously, there is what is hidden in the letter. Magic, and more!
- When is it customary in your family to decorate a Christmas tree?
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: Usually ten days before the holiday. In order to have time to record video greetings to the fans of our creativity. On the eve of the New Year we do not have time for anything, practice has already shown this.
- Was your table decorated with traditional New Year's dishes?
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: Certainly! Olivier, herring under a fur coat and crab salad! Everything is in a classic design. And Islam's favorite salad is Caesar.
- Where did you celebrate the New Year 2022?
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: As usual - behind the wheel, after the performance, admiring the New Year's fireworks through the window. We stopped by our parents, congratulated everyone and went for a short while to a quiet company to their friends.
Islam Malsuigenov: Artists have a good omen: if you work on New Year's Eve, then you will work all year. We hope for a fruitful coming year.
- Share with us your successes, and possibly disappointments?
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: The past year has been incredible and amazing. So much has happened! We shot the first videos for our songs, and the listeners learned how we look “live”. We worked a lot in the studio. We have increased the number of concert performances and, consequently, the audience has increased. We are very grateful to our fans for their support.
Islam Malsuigenov: If we talk about disappointments, then even remembering nothing happens, apparently because of positive emotions all the negative was smoothed out.
- What are the most positive and vivid emotions of this year?
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: Well, there were quite a lot of bright things this year. Despite the difficult and busy work schedule, we were able to find time for a seaside vacation with parents and a child. This necessary change of scenery bore fruit, of course, in a creative way.
Islam Malsuigenov: We took part in Andrey Malakhov's talk show "Hi Andrew!", in a series of programs "Soulful Songs" on the TV channel "Russia-1" and there, answering questions from our fans, they officially announced that we were husband and wife. Millions of people heard us live on Radio Chanson. We have long wanted to receive an invitation to the Star Breakfast program with Anna Kaverina and Miroslav Youzhny. The "breakfast" on the air turned out to be very sincere and cheerful.
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: For me, a very bright event is our participation in the New Year's concert Radio Chanson, in the Vegas City Hall. It was a great honor to perform on the same stage with the masters of Russian chanson. Very exciting and unforgettable, it was our first performance on the big stage.
- What are your plans for the coming year and what are your dreams?
Islam Malsuigenov: Like every normal person on earth now, this is so that the virus is defeated and others do not appear. And in everyday life, we, our relatives and friends, have small “housing issues” that require a solution - replacement, renewal or acquisition. But for this you still need to work hard and not dream.
Zulfiya Chotchaeva: We will work hard and still dream ... And go to a broader federal level in order to acquaint as many listeners as possible with our work!
- Thank you, all the best again! And new creative successes.
