The release of a new track by Rustam Nakhushev - “Si Keshen”
This is an authorial composition in the Circassian language, the name of which translates as “My bride”.
“Si Keshen” is a reference to the times when the Circassian people were evicted across the sea from their native lands to Turkey. Many troubles, trials, deaths and separations befell the deported people. This song is about the loss of a loved one.
“Here it is narrated how the bride of a young boy was transported to Turkey in times terrible for Circassians. Before my eyes, this image of a young guy appeared, standing in front of the black sea on a black night, speaking these words in the sea after his beloved ... This is sad and scary.
We must not forget the history of our people. I hope this composition will be etched in the memory of my listeners and remind them of the terrible grief that our ancestors had to experience,” says Rustam.
