The New York City hosted the 60-i ceremony of presenting one of the main awards of the music industry - the Grammy Awards. This year, the winners were chosen in 84 nominations.

Three main victories - the statuettes "Record of the Year", "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year" - were taken by Bruno Mars. Awards received the recording "24K Magic", the album of the same name and the track "That's What I Like". Mars also won Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Album.

Canadian soul singer Alessia Karu was recognized as the best new performer. Five figurines were taken by Kendrick Lamar: he received awards in the categories "Best rap album", "Best rap performance", "Best rap song", "Best joint rap performance ”and“ Best music video ”.

“Best Pop Performance” and “Best Pop Album” were awarded to Ed Sheeran with the album Divide and the track Shape of You, and Kraftwerk received a statuette in the category Best Dance Electronic Album.

Russian performers across the ocean also noticed: pianist Daniil Trifonov received a Grammy for Best Instrumental Solo from the Transcendental album with F. Liszt's sketches.
