We present to your attention the album “Colors of the Ambient Sky” by American New Age artist David Arkenstone. As music encyclopedias tell us, New Age “mainly uses modal consonantal harmony, and the duration of one composition can range from a few minutes to half an hour or more. The tempo of most compositions is smooth and relaxing; however, unlike ambient, new age always has a melody and is not purely background music. Often the compositions include ethnic melodies.”
