The album “Generation Rx” by the American group Good Charlotte was presented on September 14, 2018
Good Charlotte is an American punk rock band formed in 1996. “Generation Rx” is the band’s seventh full-length studio album. In contrast to the main genre of the group (punk rock), the album “Generation Rx” is performed in the alternative genre and is rather calm and mystical in nature, especially for the tracks “Generation Rx” and “Actual Pain”, and some songs generally resemble rock music. ballads such as “Prayers” and “Cold Song.”
The album initially had a working title of "Cold Song", but during the work on it it was changed to "Generation Rx". The album's songs teach the listener about issues such as the opioid epidemic, mental health struggles, self-esteem struggles, and the impact of organized religion on the lives of others. According to Joel Madden (lead singer), the album is "about how the internal struggles, and... the emotional experiences that we all go through, lead us to a place where we want to kill the pain that we all have."
